Terms
The rules for using the Polisher demo. Last updated 29 October 2026.
What this is
Polisher is a working demo run by Cameron Pittaway, Aberdeen, Scotland. Email: tarnfield.studio@gmail.com.
Polisher is a demo for showing how the product works. Nothing is sold, and there are no real customers.
The service
Polisher rewrites text you paste so it reads more like the writing samples you provide, then removes common AI habits and uses British spelling.
Rewrites are made by AI and can contain mistakes. Check every rewrite before you use it. You are responsible for what you send or publish.
The demo is provided as it is. It may change, be slow, or be switched off at any time.
Demo accounts
Press Start a demo account to make a throwaway account. It has no email address and no password, and it is deleted automatically after 24 hours with everything in it.
AI use and the daily budget
Real rewrites are made by Claude Haiku 5.5, made by Anthropic. All visitors share a small daily AI budget of £0.10. When the day's budget is used up, the site shows ready-made example rewrites instead, until midnight UTC.
Free drafts can be up to 300 words. Free rewrites share a daily limit for everyone, so they may pause until the next day. Creating extra accounts to get more is not allowed.
Demo payments
The £5 a month plan is a demo of Stripe Checkout in test mode. Only Stripe's test card works: 4242 4242 4242 4242, with any future expiry date and any 3-digit CVC. No real money moves. Nothing is charged, refunded or renewed for real. Never enter a real card number.
The demo plan includes 300 credits a month, and up to 60 of them can be used in one day. Credits are used by the word: 1 credit is 100 words of draft or notes, and each rewrite counts at least 50 words. Drafts can be up to 1,000 words. A rewrite that fails, or that the AI refuses, uses no credits.
Assessed work
Do not use Polisher for coursework, exams, dissertations or any other assessed work you must do yourself, or anywhere you are required to say that you used AI and have not.
Fair use
Do not use Polisher for anything unlawful, to harass or deceive people, to break someone else's rights, or to overload or copy the service.
Your writing
You own your samples, drafts and rewrites. You let us process them only to run the demo for you. Please don't paste anything private or sensitive.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Otherwise, because the demo is free and sells nothing, we are not liable for losses from using it.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law.
